A FLURRY of locally-produced plays have graced Galway’s stages over the past few weeks, the most of impressive of them being Brú Theatre’s Selvage at the Mick Lally Theatre, written and performed by James Riordan and deftly directed by Lara Campbell.

UPCOMING GALWAY based company Brú Theatre will premiere its new play, Selvage, in Druid’s Mick Lally Theatre. Developed as part of the Druid FUEL programme, and funded by the Arts Council and the Galway City Council, it will be Brú’s third production since it formed in 2018.

SELVAGE IS the word for the self securing first and last line of knitting. It is also the title of a new theatre show from Galway's Brú Theatre about "the many avenues people trudge to try and calm their ‘gnaw’".
